Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom".   - Victor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of talk therapy that can help you to learn how to better manage problems by understanding how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviour.  It is based on the premise that it is our thoughts and not external things like events and people that cause our feelings and behaviours, therefore if we change the way we think we can feel and act in more constructive ways even when external events do not change.

CBT has been shown to be effective for the treatment of a variety of conditions, including mood, anxiety, personality, eating, substance abuse and psychotic disorders.
